Description: You can identify peonies by their large, showy blooms. The blooms may be single or double, and its fragrance is sweet and clean. Peonies bloom in late spring and early summer.
Shelf Life Tips: Peonies make wonderful cut flowers and fragrant floral displays since they last more than a week. For best results, cut the flowers early in the morning when they are just opening and place them in cool water. Be sure to add a commercial preservative to the water or make your own by combing 1 part regular lemon-lime soda with 3 parts water. In addition you can cut long stems when the buds are still fairly tight.
